​What is the SASTRA Fellowship?

  • The Fellowship is a fully sponsored scholarship programme designed for individuals who aspire to become social entrepreneurs and build sustainable enterprises with a purpose.

How is it different from the Professional Development Program?

  • The Professional Development Program is a paid, customized one-year journey focused on personal and professional transformation. The Fellowship, on the other hand, is scholarship-based and emphasizes community empowerment and social impact while you develop yourself.

Who can apply for the Fellowship?

  • It is open to individuals worldwide, aged 18 to 50, who are committed to unlearning and relearning and demonstrate the ability to give back to society.

What does the Fellowship focus on?

  • The Fellowship emphasizes empowering communities, building sustainable enterprises, and aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What benefits do Fellows receive?

  • Fellows gain access to structured learning, mentorship, and real-world practice, while being fully sponsored to pursue their transformative journey.

How does enrollment support wider initiatives?

  • Enrollment directly contributes to SASTRA’s community-driven projects, ensuring that Fellows’ growth also drives positive societal change.

How will the Fellowship take place?

  • ​Each month, Fellows join one online plan class led by instructors from around the world, depending on the modules. We will ensure language is not a barrier!
  • If you don't have internet, let us know during your application submission. We will do our best to bring you forward. 

What is expected from us?

  • Every Fellow works on their own project within their region, applying lessons to real-world contexts and driving local impact.

Is the Fellowship worth my time?

  • Yes, if you are seeking personal transformation with real-world impact. The Fellowship is not just about learning, it’s about building yourself and projects in your own region, connecting with global mentors, and contributing to sustainable change. It’s designed for people who want to grow while making a difference. Moreover, our instructors do not get paid to do this. 

Why should I enroll? You should enroll if you want:

  • Global exposure through monthly online classes led by instructors worldwide.

Will we meet in person?

  • The core program is online, with monthly classes and regional projects. However, depending on partnerships and sponsorship, Fellows may have chances to connect in person through community events, project showcases, or collaborative initiatives.

The 2027 Fellowship is open to those who are willing to commit to unlearning and relearning. How can I apply? : To apply for the Fellowship, you need to:
